Thanks Carol Anne and hello from Tasmania!
My name is Liz Mason and my colleague teacher is Catherine Roberts. We are the Grade 2 teachers from Holy Rosary Catholic Primary School in Claremont Tasmania. Claremont is a northern suburb of our capital city Hobart and just down the road from the Cadbury Chocolate Factory :). Our classroom is a team teaching environment with 55 mini rockers (7 and 8 year olds) ready to take on the world. We are looking forward to inviting you into our classroom, in making games and music and sharing our lives and cultures with you.
Let the fun begin!

Hi all
My name is Simon Mutch and I'm working with 4 other teachers in our year 7 & 8 team (11-13 year olds) at Selwyn House School in Christchurch, New Zealand. My Colleagues names are Carl Scurr, Kathy O'Meara, Sherryl Matheson and Linda Baran. We have been off school for a couple of weeks due to an Earthquake but we're back this Wednesday and raring to go! We're really keen to be involved in Skype sessions with everyone and learn more about others from around the world while we compile our music tracks and make some interesting games. We're going to start back at school with an Edmodo session for our girls to share their experiences of the earthquake and we would love to set up groups with any classes who are interested in hearing what our girls have to say or if you just have something to share yourselves.
ROW is going to be an awesome way of getting the girls back into school and focused on something really worthwhile. Thanks everyone for the opportunity to be involved, particularly Carol Anne.
Let the games commence!

Hi again Simon! My thoughts and prayers have been with you all in Christchurch. I am so glad that you all are part of this round of ROW! My students and I are from Oklahoma, USA. I will also be facilitating the ROW project with grade 7 students. We would love to Skype with you within the next few weeks. I have my students at 9:55 - 10:50 CST. How does this time align with your schedule?

We would love to join your Edmodo group. Would you want to include our girls only? Talk to you soon! - Tammy Parks

Hi Tammy
A quick look at the time difference suggests that it will be 3:55am - 4:50am here when you have your students, not an ideal time for us sorry! :-) We might have to look at the Edmodo idea instead. I've just realised that in my introduction I didn't mention that we are an all girls school, that's why there are no boys in our Edmodo group, but we are happy to have boys join from other schools. Probably best if we start a whole new group and go from there, I'm happy to set that up and give you the code if you'd like? - Simon

Thanks Simon! Yes, please send me the code. We'd love to meet and have meaningful conversations with your students! We look forward to meeting you and your students!

Hi Everyone!
I'm Robert Pronovost, a second grade teacher (7-8 year olds) at Belle Haven Community School in Menlo Park, CA. Our class participated last season and are very excited to be involved with ROW a second time. We were only involved in a couple of videoconference sessions last season, but it was definitely the most valuable part of the whole experience. We are very excited to meet your classes and create some fun and educational games! Please feel free to contact us about a videoconference!

Tena koutou ROW whanau! Hello to all of our ROW family! I'm Rebecca Power (was Nixey last year!) and come from Nayland Primary in Nelson New Zealand! I'll be working with a variety of students from across our school this round for ROW so I can't wait to see how that works compared with having my own class! I am totally excited about any video chatting via skype or ichat as we absolutely LOVED this part of the project last year! We know that we have super tricky time zones but we are willing to make it work by coming early or staying late!
We can't wait to meet you all - and see some friends again!
Aroha - love

Hello Bec!

Congratulations on your marriage! I just saw your post via the Wiki site. I am hoping we can set up a chat with students from your school. My Rockers this year are 7th graders (ages 11-12). I have this class for an hour beginning at 9:55 AM CST. I think that translates to 3:ish AM the next day for you all. Perhaps we could schedule a chat around 2:30 pm our time - I think that would be around 7:30 AM your time. I could also see if students could stay afterschool for a short period of time and meet at 8:00 AM your time.

We would really love to meet you! We are chatting with Mr. Mutch's Selwyn House school girls via an Edmodo group. It has been a lot of fun meeting and truly moving hearing the stories about the earthquake. What are your students grade levels this round?

Hope to hear from you soon!

Tammy (Oklahoma, USA)
